Guide Anesthesia is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our growing team in El Paso, Texas. This predominantly outpatient practice is anchored by multiple ASC partnerships and one surgical hospital, offering a strong balance of autonomy, predictable scheduling, and collaborative physician leadership.
This position includes direct anesthesia care across multiple clinical sites, including University Medical Center – Surgical Hospital East, El Paso Day Surgery Center, Paso del Norte Surgery Center, and Advanced Surgery Center of El Paso. The practice is continuing to expand with new robotic GYN and GI service lines entering the market.
Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced ASC environment and proficient in regional anesthesia. This is an opportunity to join a collegial long-term practice focused on clinical excellence, operational stability, and strong surgeon relationships.

Compensation Summary
- 1099 Independent Contractor
- Primary Team Rate: $340/hour
- Supplemental Rate: $325/hour
- Late Coverage Premium: $250
- Compensation based on on-site time, not case volume
Estimated Annual Earnings
- Approximately $680,000 from anesthesia time
- Approximately $13,000 from call compensation
Scheduling Options
- Monday through Friday | 7 AM – 5 PM
- Two-on/two-off rotation available
- 3-on/1-off scheduling models available
- Full-time primary coverage opportunities available
This position is designed as a long-term practice opportunity rather than a temporary locums assignment.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
- Regional anesthesia proficiency required
- Comfortable practicing in an outpatient surgery environment
- Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- New graduates welcome

Advanced Surgery Center of El Paso is a pristine multi-specialty surgery center that offers two state of the art operating rooms and a large procedure room. The center is conveniently located off of I-10 near downtown El Paso at 1125 Texas Avenue, Unit 502.
Paso del Norte Surgery Center offers 5 ORs, 1 Treatment Room and specializes in ENT, General Surgery, GI, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management and Plastic Surgery. It is located at 125 W. Castellano.
University Medical Center Surgical Hospital is a renowned teaching and research hospital, equipped with some of the most advanced medical equipment and expertise in the region. It is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in a 270-mile radius of El Paso.
