Guide Anesthesia is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our Downtown Phoenix team, providing anesthesia services primarily at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix with additional coverage at CORE Institute Specialty Hospital.
This hospital-based opportunity offers a diverse clinical practice, physician-led culture, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced CRNAs and physician colleagues. Providers care for a broad range of surgical patients across traditional operating rooms and non-operating room anesthesia settings.
A Medical Director opportunity is also available for an experienced physician interested in taking on a leadership role within the practice. A leadership stipend is available for the Medical Director position, and a sign-on bonus may also be available for a qualified candidate.
This is an opportunity to join an established Guide practice while contributing to clinical excellence, strong provider relationships, and continued practice development in the Phoenix market.

Compensation Summary
1099 Independent Contractor
Primary Team
- $325/hour
- Annualized Compensation: Approximately $650,000
- Compensation based on on-site time, not case volume

Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- One to two years of experience preferred
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Experience with peripheral nerve blocks beneficial
- Experience with vascular and EP cases beneficial
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Deliver personally performed anesthesia and medical direction as appropriate
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and hospital leadership
- Provide anesthesia services across OR and NORA environments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care
