Guide Anesthesia is seeking an experienced, board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our exclusive practice at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. This is a dynamic hospital-based opportunity offering a diverse case mix, strong physician autonomy, regional anesthesia, and the potential to take on a meaningful leadership role within the Tucson market.

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Deliver direct anesthesia care for complex and higher-acuity cases
- Collaborate with CRNAs, surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital leadership
- Participate in regional anesthesia services and perioperative patient management
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and professional collaboration
Medical Director Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while supporting the continued development and growth of the Tucson anesthesia practice. Responsibilities may include strengthening relationships with surgeons and hospital leadership, supporting clinical initiatives, and helping Guide Anesthesia build a strong, sustainable presence in the Tucson market.

Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
- Experienced physician strongly preferred
- Regional anesthesia proficiency required
- Pediatric anesthesia experience required
- Comfortable managing higher-acuity hospital-based cases
- Experience with complex surgical procedures strongly preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Interest in clinical and practice leadership

Compensation Summary
1099 Independent Contractor
Primary Team
- $360/hour
- Annualized Compensation: Approximately $720,000
- Approximately $2,880 minimum daily compensation based on an 8-hour day
- Compensation based on on-site time, not case volume
Medical Director Opportunity
- Medical Director opportunity available
- Leadership stipend available in addition to clinical compensation
- Opportunity to help shape and grow the Tucson anesthesia practice

Sign-On Opportunity
- Sign-on incentive may be available for a qualified candidate

Scheduling
- 46 working weeks per year
- 4 to 5 days per week
- Hospital and ASC coverage
- Approximately one night of call per week
