Guide Anesthesia is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our Primary Team at Merritt Island Surgery Center in Merritt Island, Florida. This physician-led ambulatory surgery center offers a collaborative practice environment, predictable scheduling, and an outstanding work-life balance.
Providers work alongside experienced CRNAs in an efficient outpatient setting focused on delivering exceptional patient care across a diverse surgical case mix. With only two operating rooms, the practice provides a collegial atmosphere where physicians develop strong relationships with surgeons and staff while enjoying a consistent weekly schedule.

Compensation Summary
1099 Independent Contractor
Primary Team
- $340/hour
- Annualized Compensation: Approximately $680,000
- ($340/hour × 2,000 hours = $680,000)
Scheduling
- Four-day work week
- Monday through Thursday
- Two operating rooms
- Two Primary Team physicians
- Additional PRN opportunities available
- Predictable outpatient schedule
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for outpatient surgical procedures
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and perioperative teams
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Deliver safe, patient-centered anesthesia care
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for Florida medical licensure
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative practice skills
- Comfortable caring for pediatric patients

- Approximately 80% Sports Medicine and Orthopedics
- Total Joint Procedures
- Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
- Podiatry
- Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Pediatric Cases
