Guide Anesthesia is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our Downtown Phoenix team, specifically supporting the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) rotation.
This hospital-based opportunity offers a diverse clinical case mix, structured scheduling, and a collaborative physician-led practice model. Physicians work alongside experienced CRNAs while providing anesthesia care across operating room and non-operating room settings.
This is an established practice opportunity designed for anesthesiologists seeking a predictable rotation, strong compensation, and a collaborative clinical environment.

Compensation Summary
1099 Independent Contractor
Primary Team
- $325/hour
- Annualized Compensation: Approximately $650,000
- $325/hour × 2,000 hours = $650,000
- Compensation based on on-site time, not case volume
Scheduling
Full-time schedule with a structured week-based rotation.
Candidates will need to agree to one of the following rotations:
- Two weeks on / two weeks off
- Three weeks on / one week off
During the assigned rotation, available shifts will follow this structure:
- 7 AM to 1 PM
- 7 AM to 5 PM
- 7 AM to 7 PM
- 1 PM to 9 PM
This structured approach provides predictable blocks of work and extended time away from the practice.

Qualifications
- MD or DO with successful completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable supervising CRNAs.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based, fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Deliver personally performed anesthesia and medical direction as appropriate.
- Supervise CRNAs and collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and hospital leadership.
- Provide anesthesia services across operating room and NORA environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is a 746-bed acute care teaching hospital offering a broad and clinically diverse anesthesia practice. The BUMCP rotation provides exposure to general surgery, colorectal, gynecology, and a variety of non-operating room anesthesia services.
Physicians also have opportunities to provide anesthesia for Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology cases while working within a collaborative MD-CRNA practice model.
